JCB telescopic wheel loader ready for big farm jobs

JCB's largest agricultural telescopic wheel loader is packed with power and features to make it the ideal machine for Australian farms

The TM420S Agri is fitted with JCB's proven DieselMAX 4.8 litre engine which delivers a massive 173hp (129kW).

There is also a new eight-speed powershift transmission with TorqueLock and greatly increased visibility.

The unit can reach a travel speed of 50km/h despite weighing in at nearly 10 tonnes and boasts an impressive 4,100kg maximum lift capacity, 5.45m maximum lift height and 3m maximum reach.

It is JCB's top of the range model and also offers an Auto Smoothride System to improve load retention and comfort, innovative regenerative hydraulics and high flow pipework plus boom end damping when lowering, extending and retracting.

Performance is also bolstered by JCB's unique oscillating centre pivot point.

The manufacturer says this makes the most of traction by maintaining even weight distribution over each of the four wheels, providing extra stability and enhanced ride comfort.

Limited slip differential axles and 4WD as standard also help the traction and performance.

Operator comfort has also been strongly considered.

The TM420S offers air conditioning and a three-speed fan heater, a dedicated media port on board, single lever mounted joystick controls and a choice of seats with fully adjustable heating and lumbar support.

Efficiency is also helped by a number of additions including a variable speed engine cooling fan which adjusts automatically, high back-off power brakes that reduce drag and improve fuel economy, load-sensing hydraulics that only consume power on demand and a new auto engine shutdown feature which switches off the engine when left idling.
